What I do at ZBD
As CTO and co-founder, I am responsible for overseeing all engineering, platform, product and core brand efforts at ZEBEDEE.
Why ZBD
I started my career as a software engineer, but always had a passion for product design and development. After various stints first as an engineer, then as an engineering manager, I started ZEBEDEE with two guys I barely knew at the time, but shared my vision for how gaming and Bitcoin can combine to change the world. Our ideas and skillsets complemented each other well, so we said let’s go for it. This was in 2019. Besides building ZEBEDEE, I am also passionate about contributing to Bitcoin Lightning open source projects, specifically LNURL. I am the creator of Lightning Address, an open source protocol that makes sending Bitcoin on the Lightning network just like sending an email.
Who am I?
For me, it started out of a passion for Bitcoin and the Lightning Network. I’ve long believed that gaming is the best use case to bring billions of people from every part of the world into Bitcoin, because the two fit together extremely well. Over time, as our products matured and we started seeing how they’re impacting people’s lives, I’ve realized that what we’re doing is much more than just Bitcoin or gaming. We are changing how money behaves online, which is where most social interactions are happening today. The world is undergoing a paradigm shift in terms of how we move value and even perceive what money is. ZEBEDEE is at the forefront of that. And just as importantly to what we’re doing, we’re doing it with a group of amazing, talented and passionate people that love working together.
